Nancy Wait was born in Chicago in 1949, grew up in New York City, studied acting at the High School of Performing Arts, attended Carnegie-Mellon for two years in theater, moved to London and attended Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, worked at the Playboy Club during term breaks.
