Barbro Peterson (née Edwardsson) was born in Örebro, Sweden. She was married to renowned Swedish Formula One driver Ronnie Peterson, with whom she had a daughter, Nina Louise, born in November 1975. Following Ronnie's tragic death in 1978, Barbro faced profound grief and, sadly, took her own life on December 19, 1987.
