Zhang He and Ling Fei, a once-happy couple, face challenges after the Charming Angel Competition. Ling Fei catches the eye of her boss, Li Kai, while Zhang He falls into financial ruin, owing a large debt. When he disappears to escape the loan sharks, Ling Fei is left with no choice but to be with Li Kai to repay the debt.
